Training is always open to new members. We welcome new joiners and the first lesson is always free so you can try the training and see if it is something you want to continue with.

For new starters with no previous experience of karate or martial arts, we understand that the first steps joining a karate club might seem daunting. Please don’t let that put you off though, as even the most talented of karate enthusiasts had to start at the beginning too. You’ll find some frequently asked questions in this section of the website but feel free to get in touch if there is anything else you would like to ask.

The best way to get started though is to come along and watch or try a training session. We have classes twice a week and they are all for mixed ability and supervised to ensure safety so everyone can enjoy karate.

For those with a little more experience, whether in Wadoryu karate or another style,  we understand that the training can be a little different to what you may have done elsewhere. Every karate club has their own approach to practice so we hope that learning the Wadokai method will provide a fresh and exciting challenge for you.
